Outlook: It's the first of four meetings this season between the Wizards and Bobcats. Last season, Washington won three of four games. Wizards interim coach Ed Tapscott was the president and chief operating officer of the Bobcats, building the franchise from the ground up in 2004 before coming to the District as director of player development in 2007. Bobcats forward Juwan Howard played in the District from 1994 to 2001. Wallace and Wizards big man Darius Songaila were teammates in Sacramento. Okafor and Butler were teammates at Connecticut, and Wizards assistant Randy Ayers coached under Charlotte coach Larry Brown in Philadelphia.
