PLAYER NOTES: --C Tyson Chandler is starting, but the team is closely monitoring his minutes following off-season ankle and toe surgery. Chandler struggled versus the Celtics, going 0-of-5 from the field and committing two offensive fouls trying to set picks early in the game. --G Stephen Graham's first start as a Bobcat was pretty awful: 2-of-11 from the field and no assists or steals. Rookie Gerald Henderson could conceivably replace him as the fill-in starter at shooting guard.
--C DeSagana Diop is so far off Brown's radar that he got no mop-up minutes versus the Celtics, in a game that was decided early in the third quarter.
--F Derrick Brown, a second-round pick, continues to make a big impression. In 21 minutes, he generated nine points and four rebounds versus the Celtics.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Raja Bell is out at least another week with a torn ligament in his left wrist.
--G Flip Murray has a stress reaction in his left shin. He's not been cleared to practice, but coach Larry Brown believes he's close to getting that clearance.
--G Raymond Felton required 15 stitches to close a lip wound, after Celtics F Kevin Garnett fell on him. Felton was driven face-first into the court, causing paint chips to impale his lip.
