PLAYER NOTES:

--G Jason Richardson doesn't remember any specific thing he did in

the loss to the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 11 that caused his right knee

to swell up hours after the game. Richardson said the pain that night

was "unbearable," sending him to the emergency room, but no structural

damage was detected.

--F Sean May is again in danger of losing his starting spot, based

on coach Larry Brown's reaction to May's zero-point, two-rebound

performance against the Mavericks: "It's obvious Sean is not ready to

play."

--F Gerald Wallace and G Raymond Felton -- the two leading scorers

with Jason Richardson injured -- shot a combined 1-of-13 from the

field in the first half against Dallas.

--G D.J. Augustin was the one Bobcat effective offensively

Tuesday. The rookie finished with 21 points, four assists and four

rebounds. He says the improvement is in part about not overthinking,

which can happen playing point guard under coach Larry Brown's

demanding coaching.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Jason Richardson said he's out at least the rest of this week

with an inflamed right knee. His realistic goal to return might be the

trip to Toronto and Indianapolis surrounding Thanksgiving Day.
