--Dell Curry was supposed to fill in as radio color analyst during the Bobcats' four-game Western Conference trip. Then Davidson happened; Curry's son Stephen, is the best story of the NCAA tournament -- a little-guy scorer, averaging more than 30 points and leading the Wildcats into the final eight.
Naturally, Dell -- a former star with the then-Charlotte Hornets -- is in Detroit, watching Davidson. And no one among the Bobcats has any problem with that. --For the first time in nearly a month, the Bobcats can get used to their own beds again. Following Saturday's game in Portland, they play four of five back in Charlotte. The Portland game completes a span in which they played 10 of 11 on the road because of college basketball commitments at the arena.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "We always get excited to play this team, for some reason. People look at the Lakers vs. the Bobcats and just assume they'll win. Sometimes one team just matches up better with the other than you'd expect." -- Matt Carroll on the Bobcats winning four of the last five against the Lakers.
