Charlotte Bobcats Notes, Quotes 2009-10-31

Charlotte Bobcats Notes, Quotes 2009-10-31--The final indignity in the Bobcats' 33-point, season-opening loss in Boston Wednesday was an inability to move on: literally.

The bus hired to take the team to the airport wouldn't start, and it took an additional 45 minutes for a second bus to show up at the arena.

"We deserved that," Bobcats coach Larry Brown joked. "That was God punishing us."

It says a lot about how badly the Bobcats were pelted Wednesday that setting a franchise record for fewest points (59) was not the most embarrassing statistic. Worse yet, was that the Bobcats committed 21 turnovers, compared to a franchise-low 10 assists.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "They were taking parts of the floor right out of my mouth." -- G Raymond Felton, to the Charlotte Observer, on the paint chips that ripped into his lip when Celtics F Kevin Garnett fell on his head late in the first half Wednesday.
