--With the NFL Carolina Panthers suffering through a horrible season, the Bobcats could do themselves a ton of good, marketing-wise, by reaching the playoffs. But that seems like a reach, considering what they did compared to others in the Eastern Conference. Two teams that finished behind them in the standings -- Washington (Mike Miller and Randy Foye) and Toronto (Hedo Turkoglu) -- improved dramatically more than the Bobcats (Flip Murray and Stephen Graham). --Based on the preseason, this could be the most productive draft in Bobcats' history. Gerald Henderson (12th pick) and Derrick Brown (40th overall) have already demonstrated they're ready to contribute. I love the competition of games, but my biggest fear is we haven't prepared guys for what they might see in games: Like putting Alexis (Ajinca) in a situation he's not ready for." -- Bobcats coach Larry Brown, to the Charlotte Observer, on how Brown would rather coach practices than games.
