Explain this one: The Bobcats gave up 23 offensive rebounds to the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night and won going away.
They ended the game with a 14-2 run as the Blazers shot just 36 percent from the field. That earned the Bobcats a 3-1 Western Conference road trip in what has been a most streaky late season. First they won five straight, then they lost six of seven. And now, a team that has struggled on the road most of this season won three straight in the West, against the Blazers, Seattle Supersonics and Los Angeles Lakers.
Too bad there's only one game left against the Northwest Division (at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves). The Bobcats are 7-2 vs. that division.
BOBCATS 93, BLAZERS 85: Portland big men LaMarcus Aldridge and Joel Przybilla had eight offensive rebounds each Saturday, but the Bobcats' fourth-quarter shooting (53 percent) helped them outscore the Blazers 23-14.
