Charlotte Bobcats Getting Inside 2009-11-03

Charlotte Bobcats Getting Inside 2009-11-03The Bobcats should be back to full health by Friday's home game against the Hawks.

Shooting guard Raja Bell (torn ligament in his left wrist) decided to play Monday against the Nets despite not having gone through a full practice since the injury. And combo guard Flip Murray (stress reaction in his left shin) plans to play Friday for the first time this season.

Coach Larry Brown said Murray was healthy enough to play Monday, but he'd missed so much time that Brown thought it better to get him some practices. Though Brown started Bell against the Nets, he had no expectation of immediate results.

"He's a great defender and he can make an open shot. But he hasn't played in awhile," Brown said of Bell. "I know we'll get great effort, I know he'll try, but it's going to take a little time for him to get back."

BOBCATS 79, NETS 68: The Bobcats overcame more terrible offense (1-of-15 from 3-point range and 21 turnovers) with some of their best defense since Larry Brown took over as coach. They held the winless Nets scoreless for 10 minutes in the second half.
