Charlotte Bobcats Getting Inside 2008-11-10
Not that the Bobcats' roster needs are a great surprise, but managing partner Michael Jordan spelled out what he's looking for in the face of all this trade speculation.

First, another capable big man. Second, a third point guard.

In a wide-ranging interview with the Charlotte Observer, Jordan said the Bobcats are active in the trade market, primarily looking to add another big man. With Sean May inactive, looking to improve his conditioning, the Bobcats have been starting Jared Dudley at power forward, making them one of the NBA's smallest front lines.

Ideally, Jordan said, Dudley would be a reserve, for his versatility and energy, on an improved team.

Jordan said he's also looking for a veteran third point guard, a longtime request from coach Larry Brown. Shannon Brown has shown some promise off the bench, but more as a shooting guard than a point guard.

The Bobcats have popped up frequently in trade rumors lately, with speculation centering on Gerald Wallace and Raymond Felton.

RAPTORS 89, BOBCATS 79: The Bobcats seemed to forget all the lessons from Friday's upset of New Orleans. Sunday, they went seven minutes of the fourth quarter without a point, settling for jump shots, and they were continuously befuddled by Toronto's pick-and-roll, allowing Chris Bosh to outscore them 14-12 in the final period.
