CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) - The Charlotte Bobcats will sign forward Cartier Martin to a second 10-day contract when his existing deal expires Saturday.
Martin was signed two days after starting forward Gerald Wallace suffered a partially collapsed lung and broken rib against the Los Angeles Lakers. Wallace is expected to be out until after this month's All-Star break.Coach Larry Brown said Friday he was impressed with the 6-foot-7 Martin's contribution off the bench. Martin had been averaging 20.6 points for Iowa in the NBA Development League.
